2018年，大河美術將從香港Art Central出發，首次參展海外國際型藝博會，推出獨家經紀之新銳藝術家陳硯平的海外首次個展，誠摯歡迎您蒞臨觀展！
1986年出生的台灣藝術家陳硯平，其複合媒材的創作具強烈的個人風格，曾於2017年入選台灣的高雄獎及YAT新潮賞，亦參與了奧地利維也納的蘇富比慈善拍賣，陸續受到許多專業人士的肯定；同年四月中的YAT個展更是廣受好評，與美國聲音藝術家Ryan Campos合作，由Ryan為其作品製作配樂，藉由跨領域的國際合作引導觀眾進入視覺及聽覺的饗宴。
其創作呈現了外在世界與內在思緒交互作用之下所引發的衝突、未知與不安的感受。以多元性的創作技法將複合媒材塗抹、噴灑、拼貼、縫補於畫布上，連結幻覺體驗和真實物質，並將抽象情感轉為可被理解的訊息，引領觀眾走入一個幻象的世界。
此次參展將帶來近兩年的創作，以一貫的內在探索為主軸，將繪畫作為一種在潛意識中創造自我的方式，並試圖從中探討不安的心靈如何在騷動年代生存的議題；同時，他亦期盼觀者能透過作品來釐清、應證自我的生命經驗，真正體悟畫面中那片黑暗所蘊含的寬廣與無限，從中尋找一處可依靠的避世之所。

Starting from Art Central Hong Kong 2018, RIVER ART is going to participate overseas international art fair for the first time and present the first overseas solo exhibition of our exclusive artist CHEN Yenping. We cordially invite you to join the exhibition!
Born in 1986, Taiwanese artist CHEN Yenping’s creations executed with mixed media have a strong and personal style, selected by Kaohsiung Award and Young Art Award in Taiwan, especially Sotheby’s benefit auction in Wien in Austria in 2017, gaining successive acclamations from many experts. His solo exhibition held at YOUNG ART TAIPEI in mid-April of 2017 was even widely acclaimed in corporation with an American sound artist Ryan Campos, who produces scores for his works, to lead the audience into the feast of vision and hearing through the cross-border and international collaboration.
CHEN’s works present the feelings of conflicts, unknowns and uneasiness that are triggered by the interaction of outer world and inner thoughts. He uses mixed media with diverse creative techniques to smear, spray, collage, and stitch on canvas. It connects the hallucination experiences with the reflection of real world and converts the abstract emotions into understandable messages, guiding people to walk into a phantom world.
This time, CHEN will bring us the works within the past two years which focuses on the inner exploration as usual. He takes paintings as a way of creating himself in subconsciousness and tries to discuss the issue about how an unquiet mind can live in era of turmoil through the process. Meanwhile, he hopes the viewers can clarify and verify their own life experiences through the works and really comprehend the spacious and infinite blackness in the paintings, finding a reliable shelter from it.
